Job Description:

As the Product Design Lead, you will play a crucial role in transforming procurement processes for a vast network of industrial SMEs in Germany. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the design of a Supplier Relationship Management system, which serves as the backbone for all supplier-related activities and information. Your expertise will directly influence how procurement becomes more digital, efficient, and compliant, thereby enhancing the sustainability of supply chains that are vital to the European manufacturing sector. You will have the unique opportunity to establish and grow our design function, setting high standards for design excellence, and nurturing a culture that prioritizes user-centric design principles. You will engage deeply with our customers to understand their challenges and translate these insights into effective design strategies.

The responsibilities of the Product Design Lead include mentoring the design team, contributing to design execution, driving customer-centric design, collaborating with cross-functional teams, establishing scalable design processes, aligning design with business goals, and fostering a design-driven culture.:

Lead and mentor the UX design team to deliver high-quality product designs;; Actively participate in hands-on design work during the initial project phases;; Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and translate insights into user stories and prototypes;; Work collaboratively with product management and engineering to define clear design specifications;; Create and optimize design workflows that can scale with the organization;; Ensure that design efforts align with strategic business objectives and product roadmaps;; Promote a culture of design thinking and user-centered design practices across the organization
