Job Description:

As a Research Assistant, you will immerse yourself in cutting-edge research that aims to develop novel methods for training foundation models on diverse and multi-modal environmental datasets. Your work will contribute significantly to understanding the complex dynamics of ecosystems, particularly marine systems like the Baltic Sea. Collaborate with a team of deep learning experts and engage with leading researchers from renowned institutions such as the Leibniz Institute of Baltic Sea Research and Dalhousie University in Canada. This position offers an excellent opportunity for scientific qualification and professional growth within an interdisciplinary environment.

As a Research Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include conducting research in deep learning for earth systems, developing and applying methods for geospatial modeling, and collaborating with international partners.:
- Investigate and advance foundation models applied to marine systems;; Develop and implement methods involving deep learning, transformers, and physics-informed neural networks;; Collaborate with local and international experts in marine research;; Publish findings in leading conferences and academic journals;; Supervise undergraduate and master's students;; Organize and facilitate scientific events related to marine data science
