Job Description:
- We are seeking a motivated (Junior) Data Scientist to drive the data and AI initiatives within our organization. In this role, you will collaborate with various departments to apply analytical methods that enhance operational processes and facilitate improved strategic decision-making. Your business acumen combined with expertise in data science will be pivotal in advancing the data and AI agenda. As a key player in our global data and AI community, you will identify critical questions where data science can provide significant financial benefits, utilizing a wide range of statistical and mathematical techniques as well as machine learning to assess actions, generate forecasts, and optimize business processes. Your work will involve leveraging our comprehensive and modern cloud-based big data platform, cleaning and merging relevant data sources to set the stage for further analysis. You will work within interdisciplinary, agile teams, tackling projects and regularly presenting findings to stakeholders and management.

- Identify key questions and problems where data science can add real financial value;; Apply a variety of statistical and mathematical methods to evaluate actions and make predictions;; Optimize business processes through data analysis;; Utilize the cloud-based big data platform for data management and analysis;; Clean and integrate data from various sources to prepare for analysis;; Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on projects;; Present project findings and insights to stakeholders and management

Qualifications:
- Completed degree in (Business) Informatics, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on Econometrics or Data Science
- Strong command of German (minimum C1) and English (minimum B2)
- Proficiency in regression analysis, machine learning, and optimization methods (e.g., Python, Spark, or R)
- Experience with statistical and/or econometric concepts such as effectiveness tests, impact analysis, forecasting, and selection bias
- Ability to comprehend and analyze complex questions and scenarios, presenting insights clearly to non-technical audiences
