Transition QA Engineer

Job Description:

    We are seeking a highly skilled Transition QA Engineer to join our dynamic team in Washington, DC. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our web systems and applications through rigorous testing processes. You will collaborate closely with the Product team to assess and validate new features and systems, ensuring they meet customer and user experience standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, particularly within web development environments, and will be capable of developing automated testing strategies to enhance overall efficiency. Your contributions will play a vital role in the successful roll-out of client-facing applications, and you will be expected to document test results meticulously to track defects and facilitate resolution processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative Agile environment and influence the quality of our digital offerings significantly.

As a Transition QA Engineer, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities focused on ensuring software quality and compliance across multiple projects.:

    Collaborate with Web Systems colleagues to effectively manage assigned projects and activities.;; Support the Product team in testing applications prior to client roll-out.;; Evaluate and recommend testing tools suitable for different technologies within the organization.;; Document and communicate test results clearly to stakeholders.;; Conduct manual and automated testing for web applications, particularly focusing on Drupal platforms.;; Participate in defect management discussions to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.;; Develop and implement testing standards and practices for the QA team.;; Engage in requirements and design reviews to validate usability and testability.;; Perform responsive testing using various mobile devices and tools.
