Job Description:

Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and solving complex problems by applying advanced methodologies. As an Applied Scientist, your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks aimed at pushing the boundaries of discovery systems and enhancing model performance.:
- Develop and refine long-term scientific roadmaps to address complex challenges in the field of Information Retrieval;; Collaborate with teams to invent and implement novel machine learning algorithms and systems;; Optimize the performance of foundational models through various inference optimization techniques;; Conduct research and development to explore new methodologies and technologies in NLP and IR;; Publish findings in top-tier journals and conferences to contribute to the scientific community

Qualifications:

- Familiarity with inference optimization of foundational models, including techniques such as model compression, architectural optimization, and system-level optimization
- Experience with inference engines like vLLM or TGI
- Knowledge of classical Information Retrieval models including boolean, vector, and probabilistic models is a plus
- Experience with generative machine learning models
- Publications or patents in top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python
- Understanding of modern deep learning architectures, particularly Transformers
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch
