DevOps Engineer II

Job Description:

    As a DevOps Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in shaping and enhancing large-scale system architectures. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting complex issues and maintaining various systems. You will be tasked with influencing new designs and evolving the company’s cloud-based architecture, which is essential for the organization's growth. Additionally, you will focus on automating processes that enable smooth and efficient operations. Working closely with both development and operations teams, you will address operational challenges and create innovative tools, processes, and systems to enhance the overall reliability and resilience of our services. This position demands a detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple projects simultaneously while thinking clearly and quickly under pressure.

Your daily responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining operational excellence and fostering innovation.:

    Support the development team by automating processes towards achieving continuous delivery without ceremonies;; Create and maintain virtual infrastructure to support operational needs;; Provide production support for software and infrastructure-related issues;; Collaborate with software engineers, infrastructure specialists, network engineers, and DBAs to enhance productivity and efficiency;; Co-own monitoring and alert configuration processes to ensure rapid issue detection and resolution;; Develop tools to facilitate better production triage and expedite issue detection;; Automate repetitive tasks to minimize manual interventions and streamline incident resolution;; Establish Service Level Objectives and Error Budget metrics to balance reliability with innovation;; Participate in on-call rotations and lead efforts in root cause analysis during escalated outages

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer in a SaaS environment
  • Experience in automating operations for both Linux and Windows systems
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, and GitHub Actions
  • Proficient in scripting languages like PowerShell and Bash
  • Experience with AWS and knowledge of Azure is a plus
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with source control systems such as GitHub and Bitbucket
