Job Description:

We are looking for a talented and experienced User Experience Designer to join a vibrant team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of professional experience in UX design, demonstrating a solid portfolio that highlights user-centered designs for intricate applications. This role demands expertise in Figma, as you will oversee the entire design process from conception to execution, ensuring that all outputs are user-friendly, accessible, and aligned with the overarching business objectives. You will work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including fellow designers, developers, engineers, researchers, product managers, and various stakeholders, to transform user needs into visually striking and technically viable solutions. Your responsibilities will also include conducting usability and accessibility testing to ensure that all designs adhere to industry best practices and accessibility standards, thereby enhancing the overall user experience. As a vital member of an agile team, you will actively participate in sprint planning sessions, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure that design milestones are met in accordance with project timelines. The role also involves contributing to the creation and enhancement of a scalable design system that ensures uniformity across all products. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential as you will present your design decisions and advocate for user-centered design principles while fostering an inclusive and user-first organizational culture.
