Job Description
Changan Automobile, a leading automotive manufacturer from China, is expanding its presence in the European market with its new headquarters in Munich. The company has been involved in design and R&D in Europe since the early 2000s and is set to launch its electric vehicle lineup in 2025. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met across our product offerings. You will be tasked with developing and coordinating quality systems for the European and UK markets, establishing relationships with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with local standards. Your role will include monitoring both hardware and software quality issues, improving operational mechanisms for over-the-air updates, and ensuring adherence to product recall and information security regulations across various European nations. Your professional insights will contribute significantly to the company's product quality strategy, enhancing customer satisfaction and minimizing risks related to quality-related penalties or recalls.
Key Responsibilities
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing quality indicators specific to the European automotive market. Your tasks will include:
- Breaking down quality indicators for vehicles in development and production phases.
- Communicating with testing and technical service institutions to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Tracking and interpreting the latest European regulatory standards in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Establishing and optimizing vehicle quality improvement processes.
- Leading registration work related to environmental and recycling regulations.
- Monitoring quality performance in the European market, identifying issues, and implementing corrective actions.
- Coordinating over-the-air update operations for vehicle models in the European market.
- Providing technical support and collecting information on key quality issues.
