Job Description
Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a skilled Project Management Officer to support the Connected Intelligence sector within the Space Digital and Secure Connectivity DACH Program Unit. This role is crucial as the team expands to manage high-value projects for a prominent German client. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of project management methodologies and planning processes, enabling them to effectively assist the Bid/Project team in delivering exceptional results. As a Project Management Officer, you will act as a co-pilot within a well-defined PMO framework, ensuring adherence to the Project Management Plan, and contributing to the enhancement of project execution through various tools and methods. You will be instrumental in maintaining the project's digital ecosystem, facilitating meetings, managing action registers, and coordinating reports for both internal and external stakeholders. This position not only demands excellent organizational skills but also a proactive approach to identifying improvements and driving project success.
Key Responsibilities
As a Project Management Officer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of projects, including planning, coordination, and reporting.
- Maintain and enforce the Project Management Plan
- Manage the digital ecosystem for project operations
- Prepare and facilitate project meetings and milestone preparations
- Maintain and drive closure of the project's action register
- Coordinate the creation of reports in multiple formats for stakeholders
- Maintain the integrated project plan using appropriate tools
- Manage work-packages to ensure timely and quality delivery
- Track and prepare purchase orders for project materials
- Ensure effective communication of requirements to the team and suppliers
- Coordinate activities across various work-packages including technical and safety aspects
- Support project-related export control activities
- Identify and implement improvements in project execution

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in project management or PMO role
- PMP certification is a plus
