Senior Data Scientist
Job Description
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be at the forefront of developing and applying cutting-edge analytics and machine learning models that are essential for the creation, monitoring, and maintenance of our diverse data products. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing our offerings, which include Scores, Attributes, and various Data Services. This position is vital for driving innovation and optimizing the performance of our products. You will collaborate closely with Data Engineering and Product & Tech teams, ensuring that our approach is firmly rooted in data-driven decision-making. Your primary focus will be on product-related initiatives, with limited engagement in client-specific projects. Responsibilities will include the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of advanced machine learning models and analytical solutions, as well as monitoring the performance of our Bureau Data Asset and improving our Bureau Data Ingestion Pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will undertake a variety of tasks that are crucial for the success of our data products and overall business strategy.
- Develop and implement machine learning models and advanced analytics solutions
- Monitor the performance and quality of our models and data products
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to support product development and decision-making
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, Product & Tech teams to ensure proper implementation of analytical solutions and new product features
- Ensure model accuracy and integrity through rigorous testing and validation
- Document methodologies and findings for transparency and reproducibility
- Extract, manipulate, and analyze data from data lakes to support product development activities
- Assist Legal and Compliance teams with consumer complaints and regulatory changes

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Deep understanding of statistical methods and machine learning algorithms, especially logistic regression and boosted trees
